The Spanish Society for Eighteenth Century Studies

The Spanish Society for 18th century Studies was founded in 1990. It is a non profit association which currently has 283 members from Spanish and International Universities as well as from some important research institutions.
Its main goal defined on the Constitution of 2007 is to promote research on various fields of 18th century.
Since the year 2000 the Society also publishes anually a journal that is distributed among its members. The title is Cuadernos Dieciochistas and there are already seven issues edited.
The Society organises every four years an International Congress. The 4th International Congress took place last October 2008 in Oviedo and Gijón.
