DUBLIN 1999

The tenth ISECS Congress on the Enlightenment took place on 25-31 July 1999 at University College Dublin. The hosts were the Eighteenth-Century Ireland Society. In addition to the Dublin Congress, two supplementary sessions were held in Naples in September 1999.

The congress was multi-disciplinary, and its main themes included millenarianism, revolution, and life "at the margins".
